Measurement of the K$sup 0$/submu/$sub 3$/K$sup 0$/sube/$sub 3$ branching ratio, the K$sup 0$/subl/$sub 3$ form factors, and the K$sup 0$/subpi/$sub 3$ decay parameters

In a hydrogen bubble-chamber experiment with a KL beam we have measured the K/sup 0//sub mu 3//K/sup 0//sub e3/ branching ratio to be R = 0.741 plus or minus 0.044 and the slope of the f/sub +/ form factor to be lambda /sub +/ = 0.019 plus or minus 0.013. Th e data have been analyzed with a new variable, (p'T)/sup 2/, which isolates a sample of unique K/sub e3/ decays and is independent of the K/sub L/ beam momentum. These results are compatible with the predictions of K* dominance for f/sub +/ and the Callan-Treiman relation for f/ sub o/, but indicat e a breaking of the DELTA I = (1/2) rule. We have also determined the (K/sub L/ yields /(all charged K/sub L/ decays) branching ratio to be R/sub pi / = 0.146 plus or minus pi o/ slope of the K/sub pi 3/ Dalitz plot to be given by g = 0.73 plus or minus 0.04.
