INVESTIGATION OF $gamma$-RAYS EMITTED IN THE FISSION OF U$sup 235$ INDUCED BY 2.8 AND 14.7 Mev NEUTRONS (in Russian)

The gamma rays coinciding in time with fission fragments were recorded with a scintillation counter. It is shown that the gamma -ray spectrum is the same for U/sup 235/ fission induced by 2.8 and 14.7 Mev neutrons as for fission induced by thermal neutrons. It is concluded that the total gamma -quantum energy per U/sup 235/ fission event induced by 2.8 and 14.7 Mev neutrons is the same to within 15% with that for thermal neutron induced fission.
