A description is given of the radiative capture of neutrons if the intermediate system is excited to the region of the giant dipole resonance, about 20 and 15 MeV for light and heavy nuclei, respectively. Cross sections and excitation functions lead-208, silicon-28, strontium-88, and calcium-40. (JFP)
