We present results of calculations of cross-sections for proton-on- hydrogen-atom collisions involving excitation, ionization, and charge transfer, in the energy range from 1 keV to 150 keV. Excitation events are treated in a first-order quantum-impact parameter approach, while values for all types of events are found with a semiclassical model. These cross-sections are used to calculate the Balmer-line emission expected from auroral protons. The Balmer decrement is found to be 3.1:1:0.45:0.24.
