From symposium on nuclear science and engineering; Bombay, India (13 Mar 1973). A flexible computer-based data logger system is described. The datalogger specifications are based on the requirements of a 200 MW(e) CANDU type reactor. The hardware and software are modular in nature and the system can be easily modified for a smaller or a bigger plant. The system monitors up to 512 analog and 60 contact inputs. Logging can be done for 100 points at selectable intervals. A maximum of 100 points can be trendrecorded with sampling frequency varying from 30 seconds to 1 hour. Interaction with operator is achieved through an operator's console. Major system modifications can be made using a teletypewrtter. A comparison with a hard-wired data logger is also made. (INIS)
