PWAR-20 reactor (2-MWt) preliminary design engineering analysis

Declassified 20 Aug 1973. The present SNAP-50/SPUR power plant development program concentrates on a system designed for unattended operation in space for 10,000 hours which produces a net electrical output of 300 kW(e). The reactor and shield for this power plant have been designated as the PWAR-20. The results of engineering analysis conducted to date in support of the PWAR-20 are summarized. (auth)
