Comparison of reactions $sup 142$Nd(p,p') and $sup 143$Nd(d,t) leading to neutron particle-hole states in $sup 142$Nd

Neutron particle-hole states in /sup 142/Nd have been populated in the reaction /sup 142/Nd(p,p-) on the 9.50-MeV. 7/2/sup -/ analog resonance and in t he reaction /sup 143/Nd(d,t). Analysis of the inelastic scattering data gives inelastic partial widths and spectroscopic factors. These results are compared with the distorted--wave Born--approximation analysis of the reaction /sup 143/ Nd(d,t). (auth)
