Description of the neutron generator. Experiments with pulsed neutrons (in Portuguese)

A general description is given of the basic method of obtaining neutrons through the T(d,n) alpha and D(d,n)He reactions using the 150 KV Texas Nuclear linear accelerator at IEN. The method of measuring the 14-MeV absolute neutron flux using the (n,2n) reaction in /sup 64/Cu is described. The theory of pulsed neutron source method is given together with details of the experimental techniques to obtain the nuclear parameters of moderating media. (INIS)
