TRANSITIONS IN Hg$sup 199$ FOLLOWING THE DECAY OF Au$sup 19$$sup 9$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
The energies of the three gamma lines in Hg/sup 199/ were measured absolutely, using an iron-free double-focusing spectrometer. The atomic binding energy was also absolutely determined. Relative L-subshell conversion intensities were found to yield accurate information on the multipolarity. Relative M-shell conversion coefficients were compared with theory. Partial transition probabilities were computed, and the effect of 1forbiddenness was studied. (auth)
