THE LAMONT SEA WATER RADIOCARBON PROGRAM, 1957-1958
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4307426
Measurements have been made on 40 sea water radiocarbon samples collected during the VEMA-12 cruise of December 1956-July 1967. Of these measurements 13 represent surface samples and 27 are from subsurface depths. The samples were obtained from water masses in the North Atlantic, South Atlantic, and Caribbean. In addition, 15 sea water radiocarbon samples from previous cruises were recounted and in certain cases their Ct/sup 4/Ct/sup 2/ ratios corrected. With these additions and corrections Lamont Observatory has now obtained radiocarbon measurements on a total of 109 sea water samples with a precision of greater than one percent. (auth)
