Further evidence of isospin splitting in the giant resonance of $sup 11$B

The 90 deg differential cross section of the /sup 9/Be(d, gamma /sub o/ )/sup 11/B r eaction has been measured at deuteron energies from 3 to 12 MeV. The results of this experiment are consistent with a recent calculation of the dipole states of mass 11 nuclei, and with measurements of the /sup 11/B( gamma ,n gamma ') and /sup 11/B( gamma ,p gamma ') processes, and confirm the iso spin splitting of the giant resonance in /sup 11/B.
