ANGULAR CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FRAGMENTS AND CHARGED PARTICLES EMITTED IN THE FISSION OF URANIUM NUCLEI (in Russian)

Fission events induced by 660-Mev protons in uranium nuclei and involving the emission of charged panticles were observed in emulsions. The angular distribution of these particles relative to the direction of the bombarding beam and also relative to the line or flight of the fragments was measured. No angular correlation between the protons and fragments was found although some of the protons may have been emitted by the fission fragments. Alpha particles and multicharged particles exhibit a tendency to be emitted at large angles with respect to the fragments. Factors which may be responsible for the observed correlation between alpha particles and fragments are discussed. (auth)
