Translated from Kosm. Issled.; 11: No. 4, 635-638(1973). On board KOSMOS-378 were an n-p detector, which recorded 1- to 8-MeV protons and parallel to it an end-window gas-discharge counter SBT-9, which recorded electrons with energy E >40 keV and protons with energy E > 0.5 MeV in the solid angle ~ 0.1 sr. Data obtained from these two counters in the polar caps from Nov. 15 through Dec. 2, 1970 are discussed. (WDM)
