The fuel constitution and materials technology of the U-Bi fueled reactor are reviewed. Thn solubility of U in Bi and the effects of corrosion inhibitors and fission products on solubility were investigated. Materials for corrosion resistance and mechanical strength at LMFR operating temperatures are studied. (W.D.M.)
