A device for the automatic arithmetical manipulation of scattering measurements in nuclear emulsions is described. The apparatus consists of an electrical computing machine capable of taking the readings and of automatically computing the second differences while the measurement process goes on. The time for a given scattering measurement is reduced by a factor 3. (auth)
