The Digiscat is a digitally controlled device which provides a semi- automatic method for the measurement of multiple scattering of particle tracks in nuclear emulsions. The operations required for the measurement of multiple scattering by constant cell and constant sagitta methods are carried out automatically each time the operator sets a crosswire onto the track and presses a footswitch. The Digiscat provides a printed list of y coordinates, their second differences, and the sum of the moduli of the second differences. A punched tape output is also available. (auth)
