Electromagnetic decay amplitudes in the symmetric quark model (in Portuguese)

Thesis. In order to calculate the electromagnetic decay amplitudes, the symmetric quark model with harmonic oscillator forces is used. The calculation is a nonrelativistic one, and the need of performing the calculation in ihe semi- Breit system (Breit system for the velocities), in order to attenuate the relativistic effects is stressed. The electroproduction cross section of the DELTA /sup +/ (1236) resonance is briefly discussed. (auth)
