From international conference on nuclear structure studies using electron scattering and photoreaction; Sendai, Japan (12 Sep 1972). See CONF- 720907-. The transition charge densities leading to the first excited states of palladium-106, cadmium-114, and tin-116 and -120 are determined from the differential cross sections of the inelastic electron scattering at 183 and 250 MeV. Further analysis is performed of the differential cross sections leading to the first and second 2/sup +/ states of palladium-106 and cadmium-114 based on the anharmonic vibrator model with nonuniform charge density. Using this model the values of the static quadrupole moments of the first excited states are calculated. (JFP)
