Statistical parameters a and T for two terbium isotopes were determined with the aid of the statistical model of the compound nucleus. The values a = (22.7 plus or minus 4.7) MeV/sup -1/, T = (0.479 plus or minus 0.021) MeV for /sup 156/Tb and a = (24.6 plus or minus 0.4) MeV/sup -1/, T = (0.505 plus or minus 0.005) Me V for /sup 157/Tb were obtained.
