CHANGES IN THE ANTIGENIC PROPERTIES OF TUMOR CELLS UNDER THE EFFECT OF X- RAYS IN VITRO

Changes in the antigenic properties of tumor cells induced by in vitro exposure to x radiation were demonstrated by observations on the anaphylactic reaction following injection in guinea pigs. Guinea pigs sensitized and desensitized with non-irradiated ascitic cells served as controls, as did guinea pigs which were used for testing the toxicity of the doses. (C.H.)
