Li$sup 7$ AND F$sup 19$ NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCES IN NEUTRON-IRRADIATED LiF

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. Letters
Nuclear magnetic resonance examinations of LiF samples subjected to neutron dosages of the order of lO/sup 18/ nvt have revealed the presence of constituent nuclei in environments other than those of the normal lattice sites. The nuclei produce narrow lines which are superimposed on the normal broad lines. The narrow Li/sup 7/ and F/sup 19/ lines may be due to collodial lithium metal and molecular fluorine gas. (T.B.A.)
