NUCLEAR LEVELS EXCITED BY INELASTIC NEUTRON SCATTERING
Gamma-ray, neutron, and gamma-gamma coincidence spectra have been obtained from inelastic interactions of 2.48-Mev neutrons with P/sup 31/, Mn/sup 56/, Co/sup 59/, As/sup 75/, Nb/sup and Bi/sup 209/. The following previously unreported gamma rays have been observed: Co/sup 59/ 2.11 plus or minus 0.05, 0.698 plus or minus 1.61 plus or minus 0.04, 1.32 plus or minus 0.04 Mev; Nb/ sup 93/ 2.11 plus or minus 0.08, 1.94 plus or minus found for the existence of a 1.56 plus or minus 0.03 Mev level in Mn/sup 56/ and possibly a 1.02 plus or minus 0.05 Mev level in As/sup 75/. The following previously unreported coincidences have been observed: Co/sup 59/ 0.132--2.11 Mev; and As/sup 75/ 0.576- -0.136 Mev. (auth)
