ION-EXCHANGE RESINS COMPRISING ALLYL ALPHA-AMINOALKYL PHOSPHONATE POLYMERS

Journal Article · · Atom (England)
OSTI ID:4301772

These polymers are prepared by reacting the polymer of diallyl hydrogen phosphonate with an aliphatic ketone or aldehyde and a primary or secondary amine or with an aldehyde-imine, ketone-imine, or alpha-alkylolamine, and then hydrolyzing the product. The resins have a high affinity for cupric and ferric ions, and have a grenter affinity for divalent transition metal ions than for uranyl ions.
