Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/4299599· OSTI ID:4299599
Results obtained during the period from May 1973 to May 1974 in atmospheric radiochemistry research projects are reported. These projects studied: the behavior of /sup 90/Sr in rain and air after the ninth Chinese nuclear explosion; cerium isotopes in fallout rom Chinese and French nuclear weapons tests; global transport of fallout from nuclear weapons testing; fallout from recent Chinese nuclear explosions; residence time of /sup 90/Sr in the atmosphere; variation of the /sup 137/Cs//sup 90/Sr ratio in the atmosphere; mean residence times of long-lived radon daughters in the atmosphere; ratio of fission product pairs with similar half-lives in the atmosphere; /sup 90/Sr content in rain samples collected in Arkansas, Turkey, and Japan following 14th Chinese nuclear explosion; and /sup 137/Cs, /sup 90/Sr, and /sup 137/Cs//sup 90/Sr ratios in rainwater collected at Fayettev ille, Arkansas during June 1967 through June 1969.
