ENERGY LEVELS IN F$sup 18$ FROM THE N$sup 14$$($$alpha$$,$$alpha$)N$sup 14$ AND N$sup 14$$($$alpha$,p)O$sup 17$ REACTIONS

Elastically scattered alpha particles from N/sup 14/ and ground-state protons from the N/sup 14/( alpha ,p)O/sup 17/ reaction show resonances at 2.88-, 3.09-, 3.60-, 3.67-, 3.72-, barding energies, corresponding to excited states of the F/sup 18/ nucleus at 6.65, 6.82, 7.21, 7.27, 7.30, 7.52, 7.56, analysis of the elastically scattered alpha particles, together with angular distributions of the reaction protens, indicate that the 6.65-, 6.82-, 7.21-, 7.27-, 7-30-, angular momenta and parities of 1/sup -/, 2/sup -/, 4/sup +/, 1/sup +/, 3/sup -/ , 3/sup -/, 2/sup -/, and 1/sup +/, respectively.
