Methods are given for intensifying the trajectories of alpha particles and protons in Ilford D/sub 1/ and K/sub 0/ emulsions. These methods enable one to distinguish satisfactorlly one kind of particle from the other, and to couat easily grains and gaps in tracks of protons and alpha particles. (auth)
