MUTATIONS IN RICE INDUCED BY X-RADIATION

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4289919
The dormant seeds, germinating seeds, and spikes of several rice varieties were exposed to a range of x-ray doses. Data are tabulated on morphological and genetic changes induced in succeeding generations. Chromosomal aberrations and gene mutations were considered to be the major causes of the variations observed. (C.H.)
