A study of mu -meson scattering was made by making use of an apparatas capable of selecting only mu mesons, their momenta heing determined with a thick absorber and a delayed coincidence method within a narrow range of 1 plus or minus 0.2 Bev/c. The observed angular distribution of scattered mu mesons was found to be in good agreement with that of the coulomb scattering theory for extended nuclei obtained by Copper and Rainwater. An experiment is described which establishes the existence of a difference between features of nuclear interactions of mu mesons and those of pi mesons. The difference is discussed in reference to multiple meson production. (W.D.M)
