A determination of the energy loss of beta particles in air was made using an extrapolation chamber with a liquid beta emitting electrode. In addition to the pure beta emitters P32 Y90 and Tl204, the beta- gamma emitters Na24, Co60, and Br82 were used in water solution. The results for each nuclide is graPhed, and a value of WL = 33.9 the J-57 engin 0.5 ev was obtained.
