SPIN-MATRIX RELAXATION AND NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IN RARE-EARTHS SALTS (in Russian)

Experimental studies were made of the nuclear magnetic resonance in nuclei of rare earth paramagnetic ions. The width of the absorption line in magnetically weak salt crystals of rare earth ions wan determined by the spin- lattice interactions of ions. The calculated probabilities of relaxat:on transitions for nuclear sping are compared with the relaxation transition probabilities of electron spins. It is shown that for the ions of rare earth salts the effect can be observed only at low temperatures. (tr-anth)
