THE DETERMINATION OF GOLD IN BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS BY NEUTRON ACTIVATION ANALYSIS

Journal Article · · Intern. J. Appl. Radiation and isotopes

The determination of gold in biological materials by neutron irradiation followed by radtochemical purification of the resulting radioactive gold is described. As little as 10-10 g of gold can be determined with an accuracy of about 2 per cent. A simplified and more rapid method is also described for use where an accuracy of 50 to 10 per cent is sufficient.
