ABS>Multi-charged particles ejected from a thin polystyrene film bombarded with 660-Mev protons and possessing ranges larger than 20 mu were investigated by means of nuclear emulsions. The effective cross section for production of these particles and their angular and energy distribution were obtained. Measurements of tracks produced by the fragments were employed to determine the charge of particles with ranges above 40 mu in the emulsion (tr- auth)
