Differences in the elution constants and their dependence on the hydrochloric acid concentration in the eluting solution was applied to the analytical separation of lead, zinc, cadmium, and bismuth from copper, cobalt, and iron by the use of the ion exchanger Anex-L. The elution constants werc determined. The method described can be used for the separation and determination of impurities in pure copper, cobalt, and iron. (tr-auth)
