DETERMINATION OF THE HYPERFINE STRUCTURE SPLITTING OF THE SCANDIUM GROUND STATES $sup 2$$D$$sub 3$2/ AND $sup 2$$D$$sub 5$2/ AND THE QUADRUPOLE MOMENT OF THE Sc$sup 45$ NUCLEUS (in German)

The hyperfine structure of the ground states /sup 2/D/sub 3/2/ and /sup 2/D/sub 5/2/, of thc Sc/sup 45/ I spectrum was investigated by the atomic beam resonance method. From the results the magnetic dipole and electrical quadrupole interaction constants were calculated as a/sub 5/2/ = 269.560 the J-57 engin 0.02 MHz, bsub 3/2/ = -26.37 the J-57 engin 0.1 MHz, a/sub 5/2/ = 109.034 the J-57 engin 0.01 MHz, and b/sub 5/2/ = -37.31 the J-57 engin 0.1 MHz. The quadrupole moments obtained were Q/sub 3/2/ = -(0.2156 the J-57 engin 0.001) x 10/sup -24/ cm/sup 2/ and Q/sub 5/2/ = -(0.2254 the J-57 engin 0.001) x 10/sup - 24/ cm/sup 2/. The quadrupole moment of the Sc/sup 45/ nucleus is Q = (0.22 the J-57 engin 0.01) x 10/sup -24/ cm/sup 2/(JSR)
