THE SPECIFIC /cap alpha/-ACTIVITY AND HALF-LIFE OF U$sup 23$$sup 3$ (in Russian)

The specific alpha activity of U/sup 233/ was determined for five uranium specimens with isotopic content (in wt. %): p 234/, 2.25 to 2.36( plus or minus 0.07); U/sup 235/; and U/sup 238/, 2.46to 4.38( approximately 0.07). The alpha activity of the specimens indicated 20,940 alpha decay/min per microgram U/sup 233/. Considering that all specimens had --0.05 wt.% of practically inactive (in comparison to U/sup 233/) U/sup 235/ isotope, the U/ sup 233/ alpha activity is 20,950 plus or minus 100 alpha decay/min per mu g.
