Tracer counting of beta emitters in aqueous solution was performed with a detector fabricated from a plastic scintillator capillary. The detector exhibits low gamma background and reproducible detection efficiency, and it requires minimunm sample preparation. Counting efficiencies were determined for aqueous solutions of P/sup 32/, / gas. (auth)
