The synthesis of urea by the effects of ionizing radiations on a mixture of methylene chloride and ammonium chloride can be accomplished with a satisfactory yield in a methyl solution or in a dilute alcoholic medium. Because of the activation of oxygen by the radiation, the radiosynthesis decreases in the presence of some oxygen acceptors. (tr-auth)
