BLOOD AND URINE TYROSINE LEVELS IN STARVED X-IRRADIATED RATS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4254362
A stuy of tyrosine levels in the blood and urine of starved control and starved x-irradiated rats revealed alterations in protein metabolism due to a restricted food intake. The results suggest that protein catabolism is inhibited due to the radiation syndrome. There was no evidence to substantiate the occurrence of protein degradation by the methods used in this study.
