Engineering: Research pertaining to reactor coolant problems is reported. Included are results from studies of film boiling with water inside tubes an evaluation of sodium silicate is a chloride stress corrosion inhibitor, studies of subassembly cooling at decay heat power levels, tests on Bettis pressurizer blowdown, and studies of bare austenitic steel corrosion by sea air. Chemistry: The reaction rate of sodium sulfite and dissolved oxygen in boiler and feed water was studied as a function of temperature and ion concentration. (For preceding period see MSAR-59-52).
