ON THE DECAY OF $sup 112$In

The gamma spectrum of the In/sup 113/(n,2n)In/sup 112/ reaction was studied. The spectrum above 800 kev decayed with the 54-min period of In/sup 116m/. The In/sup 116/ peaks at 157 and 393 kev are assigned to 1.8 hour In/sup 113m/ and 4.5 hour In/sup 115m/, respectively. The 511-kev peak showed a growth and decay curve consisteni with the parent-daughter relation between a 22 min In/ sup 112/ isomeric state and an g of about 20 v 11 min positron emitting In/sup 112/ ground state. An explanation of the 710 kev peak is given. (C.J.G.)
