GAMMA RADIATION FROM THE DECAY OF $sup 113$Sn

Journal Article · · Physica

The gamma radiation accompanying the decay of 118 day Sn/sup 113/ was studied with scintillation detectors, using kicksorters. The relative intensities of the 393 kev and the 257 kev gamma ray were found to be 100: (3.0 plus or minus 0.3). Chemical separations show that the 257 kev radiation belongs to Sn/sup 113/ and not to its 1.75 hour In/sup 113/ daughter. There is some evidence for a weak transition of 605 plus or minus 10 kev. Remarks about the decay scheme are added. (auth)
