The titanium alloys Ti-2.5Al-16V, Ti-4A1-3Mo-lV, Ti-6Al-4V, and Ti-13V- 11Cr-3Al are being evaluated in the Department of Defense Titanium Sheet-Rolling Program. To assist in the determination of optimum heat treatments for these alloys, the kinetics of their transformations were studied for two heat-treatment cycles, and TTT diagrams were constructed. The TTT diagrams resulting from each heat-treatment cycle are shown on the following pages accompanied by a description of the important mechanistic features of the transformations of each alloy.
