An equilibrated preparation Nd/sup 149/ + Pr/sup 149/ was placed in a triple focusing beta spectrometer in order to determine whether the 1902 kev level of Ce/sup 149/ is excited during Pr/sup 149/ decay. It was found that the Ce/sup 149/(0/sup +/) 1902 kev is excited oftener in Pr/sup 140/ decay than in La/ sup 149/ (0.013%). The Ce/sup 148/ 1902 kev level appears in electron capture and in Pr/sup 149/ beta /sup +/ decay. Considering the values of f/sub k/, f/ sub l/ and f/sub t/ for permitted transitions, it was found that ft -- 2 x 10/sup 6/. Thus, the two beta /sup +/ decays from the ground state of Pr/sup 149/ into two Ce/sup 149/ states of 0/sup +/ type differ in time approximately 100 fold, which indicates the difference of the internal structure of the states.
