A compilation of the radioactivity measured in the vicinity of the Berlin Research Reactor in 1958 is presented. Data are presented on the activity of the air at ground level, the fission product activity in fall-out, long-lived beta activity in surface water and the city water supply, activity of soil and plant samples, environmental radiation, and the radon content of the air in the reactor building. It was established that the radioactivity at the reactor site shows no abnormal increase. The measured activity of the fission products from atomic explosions agrees with other measurements made in Germany in 1958. (J.S.R.)
