THE SPECTROGRAPHIC DETECTION OF TRACE IMPURITIES IN BERYLLIUM OXIDE. Interim Report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4220307
Tentative methods are reported for the spectrographic determination of trace impurities in beryllium oxide. The detected elements include the rare earths erbium, thulium, europium, dysprosium, gadolinium, and samarium. The common elements cobalt, gold, iron, boron, silicon, manganese, lead, chromium, aluminum, calcium, yttrium, palladium, copper, indium, cadmium, silver, titanium, rhodium, nickel, and lithium were also detected. The observed detection limit for each element is reported. (auth)
