Two new reagents--C/sub 6/H/sub 7/SeO/sub 2/NH/sub 4/ and C/sub 10/H/sub 7/S eC/sub 2/NH/sub 4/-for the gravimetric determination of bismuth are suggested. The reagents form with bismuth the white crystalline precipitates Bi(C/sub 6/H/ sub 5/SeO/sub 2/)/sub 3/ and Bi(C/sub 10/H/sub 7/O/sub 2/)/sub 3/ in mineral acid solutions. Bismuth is weighed after drying the precipitates at 110 to 120 deg . The possibility is shown of the titrimetric determination of bismuth by solutions of ic acids and iodimetric titration of C/sub 6/H/sub 5/SeO/sub 2/H by the potentiometric or amperometric method. The relative error of the determination of 5 to 20 mg of Bi does not exceed 0.5%. (auth)
