Collection of rainwater samples has continued at seven stations in the United Kingdom and at eighteen stations elsewhere. At Milford Haven (Pembrokeshire) and Abingdon (Berkshire) samples are collectcd at monthly intervals and are analyzed for Sr/sup 89, Sr/sup 90/, and Cs/sup 137/. At the other stations samples are collected at three monthly intervals and analyzed for Sr/sup 90/ and Cs/sup 137/. The total deposition of Sr/sup 90/ in the 12 months ending June, l959 at Milford Haven was 7, 1 mc/km/sup 2/ compared with 3.6 mc/km/ sup 2/ in the previous 12 months. (auth)
