THE EQUATION OF STATE OF THE HYDROGEN ISOTOPES AND THEIR MIXTURES WITH HELIUM BELOW THE BOILING POINT OF HYDROGEN

Journal Article · · Physica
A method is described for measuring the temperature dependence of the second virial coefficient of the hydrogen isotopes relative to helium gas. The accuracy of this method is approximately a factor of ten higher than can be reached by standard (p, V) measurements. The results for H/sub 2/, HD, and D/sub 2/ and their mixtures with helium are given as a function of temperature below the boiling point of hydrogen. For numerical analysis empirical expressions for the data of the pure components are given. (auth)
