ENERGY-RANGE RELATIONSHIP OF THE AGFA-K2 NUCLEAR EMULSION (in German)

On the basis of a method proposed by Vigneron, an energy-range curve for protons in Agta-K2 emulsions was calculated, and, from experimental energy-range values which were obtained by analysis of thorium decay stars, was calibrated empirically. The calibration is made by variation of a parameter determined from the mean excitation potential of the emulsion. The calculations cover proton energies from I to 70 Mev. Over 10 Mev the range for a given energy is about 10% greater than the corresponding range in Ilford-C2 emulsions. (tr-auth)
