Orifice meter installation effects: Baseline calibration of 10 inch (250 mm) diameter orifice meter in the GRI MRF high pressure loop. GRI Metering Research Facility program. topical report. Technical memo

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:418969

This memorandum presents the results of 10 inch (250 mm) diameter baseline (reference) orifice meter calibrations performed in the Gas Research Institute (GRI) Metering Research Facility (MRF) High Pressure Loop (HPL). The baseline calibration data will be used for comparison with orifice meter discharge coefficient data from orifice meter installation effects tests with and without flow conditioners. Two series of calibration tests were performed flowing natural gas at nominal pressures of 900 psia, 400 psia and 250 psia for six values of orifice ratio, 0.2, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.67 and 0.75.
